About our guest speakers:
Amrie DeFrates, RD is a registered dietitian driven by the desire to help people connect to food, nature, and ultimately themselves through gardening. Melanie attended Michigan State University receiving her undergraduate degree in Dietetics and a minor in Sustainable Agriculture and Foods Systems. She also holds a Master’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences specializing in Dietetics from Western Michigan University.
